Talents

I just read a friends blog about talents. I was inspired. Forgive me, Louise.

One normally has something one is good in.
Telling stories, drawing, cooking, quick-comments, lying, singing, logical sense, stealing, acting, intelligence, etc.

After watching especially Idol, when people who are horrible at singing, really do believe they are great, getting dragged out of the room, I start to wonder why they really think they're good.
Maybe that's the thing they're good at?
What if they had nothing they were better in, and got their dreams and.. well, possibilities shattered by the judges.
How do we really know we're good at something?
Do we really need to ask permission to be good?
And how come some are good at everything, and others can't do anything?

Why are there only certain people that are allowed to judge other people's talents in, say, singing? Fine, education, but do you have to be able to sing yourself, or do you just have to know every tone and note by heart, and be able to tell whatever note they hit when they sang that song in that refrain?
Is some of it hereditary? What if everything was? What if you ended up like your parents?

*Shiver*
I dread the day I become a nurse/doctor's secretary (no offence)
I dread the day I become a teacher (no offence)
I also dread the day I become a housewife. No, I certainly hope that talents and interests aren't hereditary.

Oh god. >.<

And on a completely random note, what is sexy about nurses? Please tell me! I would really like to know!
Grey's Anatomy can suck my none-existing balls. Wiping up excrements is not sexy!
Washing a fat man's sweat off is also not sexy.
Finding symptoms, can be a little hot, but I'm pretty sure that's the DOCTORS job.

The KARATE Kid

The Karate Kid, the new film with Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith, is a thorn in my side.

WHY is it called "The Karate Kid"? When is there ever karate in it? Not one single time! Non, nix, no, nada, njet, nei, nej!!! So why do they call it "The Karate Kid"?
Well that must be because of the total rip-off of the story. Can't see any other reason...
Even the leg-thing happens! ....Though an even more awesome kick....
That kick was epic.

It's a generally good movie, and makes one want to kick the closest person,

like that,

but they should honestly rethink that title..... That title killed the joy of all the kung fu in that movie. Not really.... But a little.

Peace.

Crazy factor

I really find it strange how all of a sudden you get a message from someone you just met. If you met the person through a friend for example, you hang out with them, and suddenly you get a message from that new person saying "Hi, have you got MSN?"
Hmmm, you think then. The person probably got your number from your common friend. And you send a message back with "Yes, it's Kowabunga_the_painful@hotmail.com" and fair enough, you think, that person seemed nice enough.
So when the said person gets home and adds you, the person FLOODS you with stories of the persons past as you're doing whatever you're doing on the computer.
TELLING YOUR LIFE STORY IS NOT CONSIDERED ATTRACTIVE, NOR IS IT REALLY COOL TO DUMP IT ON A NEW FRIEND!
Fair enough. after a while, life stories are more and more OK to tell, but not the first 3 times you've spoken to a person.
It's a little nutty.

And when you ask your common friend whether he or she gave your new friend your number or full name, and he/she shakes his/her head, what would go through your mind?
Honestly. It's creepy isn't it.
What would you do?

Brrrr... People freak me out.

Jut felt like spamming a few pretty nebula/space pictures today. I like the space. It's got loads of undiscovered planets and solar systems etc.

This is the eagle nebula. It's pretty.

And this is a pretty 3d picture of a young solar system. I think it's a protoplanetary disk.
The stellar jet is really cool, looks like rock's been ground into dust and is being shot out into space.... But it's gas... And probably some dust... And now I'm babbling and rowing....
I DON'T NEED TO EXPLAIN ANYTHING TO YOU!!!!!
Haha... As it is my blog... And now I'm rowing again...

OK. Signing out.....

Unfortunately.........

It's Friday the 13th today. Something I find funny.
So "Unfortunately" was just to throw you off. Hah!

Watch your toes and fingers, now, my little lollipops!

Nr 200! W00t!

Right. Post number 200 of überness! YESS!

I would like to dedicate this very special moment to thank HP. No, you didn't go crazy, or hallucinate or anything like that. I would very much like to thank HP.

Thank you dear, sweet Hewlett Packard.

Thank you for being so delightful and brilliant that you have the nerve to do anything else than to crawl back to the customer begging them for mercy for selling them garbage. Thank you for sending me a brand new computer (that you probably would have spat in if it was a pizza....) after 3 years, with it back for repairs 5 times.
Thank you for using 2-3 months every time it was in.(To a person that enjoys being anti-social and sitting on the computer, this is fantastic.)
Thank you for wanting to repair my computer 5 times (well, technically 4, as I am being sent a new one now).
Thank you for repairing it properly every time (I am naturally referring to moveable screen. On a laptop.).
Thank you for being stubborn and won't admit that the computer was damaged from the start and only send a new item when they are able to sue you for fraud.
Thank you for generally being customer friendly, and treasuring the "three times with the same fault" rule.
Thank you for being money grubbing capitalists.
Thank you. I don't know what I'd do without you.

Right. Enough thanking for today. I almost feel emotional. Right. Here's my allegedly new computer.

Rubics cube is incredibly easy to forget. You stop doing it for a week or tree, and the most annoying part is completely gone. By all means, Being able to crack it is awesome, but having forgot a part is pretty annoying. But I guess it happens.
Alzheimers light.
So is French, by the way. If you're going to learn a language, learn something like... English. That's easy to remember. And pretty. And hilarious.

Right. Enough rambling for today.

Right on!

When I grow up, I would like someone who'll be there, when I click my fingers, with a car or some sort of a vehicle to drive away in. With my pride intact. Oh yeah.

"I do NOT want to give you money!" *clicks finger and person comes driving with a car, I enter and leave the person asking for money awestruck.*

I just love that scenario.
Love it.

Computer trouble

I returned my computer for the 5th time today.

I am not pleased.

Maybe I could sue HP for fraud and live happily ever after on the money I get from them? Or as any realist would say: "They would kill you in there."

I really don't like realists. Let us dreamers dream, for crying out loud. Who cares what will really happen... You are entiteled to have hopes. And not everything is as realists foresee them. So fuck the hell off, and let us dreamers be. We might not end up as successful as you, but on the other hand, we might end up even better! I would like to say to every realist out there (though I doubt there really are any) that you are entitled to your opinion, but please don't force it on people. Don't crush peoples dreams by adding logic to it. We are partially aware of the chance that stuff might happen, but we don't really care. Trying is good, as a friend pointed out to me.

With that said, I would like to say take care, and see you when my computer is back.
Have fun.
