MGP, eve of tackyness.

Melodi Grand Prix. Or Eurovision Song contest as it is also known as.

Where to start.

The horrible costumes that borders to hilariously funny, or the gaudy music preformed by mundane, or maybe even terrible singers?

Ah. MGP is the time where one either gathers in front of the TV to laugh at, or actually vote at poor miserable artists that wouldn't know how to use an escalator without tripping whether he/she was tied to it or not.

Takes a great big dash of willpower to get through some of those songs...
And the costumes.... I'm sorry. It has to be said. Some of them looks like circus tents, or a gypsy trying to cover the fact that she's poor and can't afford clothes, but used the last few of her worthless pennies to buy something proper, but the reason why you can tell she's poor is because she stinks. Like rotten eggs and pee.

Wait. What was I talking about again? :P

Or maybe not. It's nice to gather in front of the television and vote for your country... Unless your country sucks.
And is musically blind.

I should rather say "deaf"...

No I'm kidding.

Anyhow, a thing I have not been able to avoid noticing... There are always a certain ... genre... of music in the MGP...
Only recently they have started to differ from that, but they hardly pull it off...
Maybe that's the whole idea, or should I say plan, behind it all? Make a new genre of music?
To torment the world forever and ever and ever with the horrible music that just never let's go of your cerebral cortex?
Maybe that is the case. And maybe not. But be warned. When Eurovision is on, whenever it is, don't vote.
Just don't.
You are so much better than that.
Don't vote for these guys. Just don't.
Because if you do, you'll know for certain that you are one of them.
You are one of the shiny people on the screen.
YOU ARE A CIRCUS TENT!

FYI, being a circus tent is bad...

  1. Eg digge Eurovision!
